The idea for Kauaʻi ʻUkulele Festival was born out of a love for music, create an environment for cultural engagement and a desire to bring people together. We wanted to create an event that celebrated ʻukulele music and provided an inclusive platform for both established and up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent.

Poʻipū 'Ukulele 'Ohana
The Poipu Ukulele Ohana is an amalgamation of two groups. The original group began about 15 years ago playing every other Sunday afternoon at a small pavilion at Poipu Beach Park from 4 PM to 6 PM. It has just been a group of random people getting together to play music. We also have a newer group under our Umbrella that meets Tuesday from 9:30 to 11AM. That group originall
Koloa and Lihue Neighborhood Center Kupuna Group
Koloa Kupuna Ukulele is sponsored by the County Of Kauai-Parks & Recreation department. The group meets every Friday at the Koloa neighborhood center from 10am - noon. After covid, we started up again, seating six feet apart with 6 members. We have an average of 20 members. I have been instructing the class now for 4 years.

Kapaʻa Middle School ʻUkulele Band
The Kapa'a Middle School Choir and Ukulele Band is directed by Mary Lardizabal and co directed by Loke Sasil. Recently returning from the World Strides Music Festival in Anaheim, California, they brought home 2 GOLD awards.
They would like to invite you to their Spring Choral and Ukulele Band Concert on Wednesday, May 15th, ,6 pm at Kapaa Middle School.

2:45 pm – 3:10 pm Kauaʻi ʻUkulele Club, followed by Aldrine Guerrero & Aaron Nakamura
3:20 pm – 4:00 pm Kalei Gamiao and Corey Fujimoto

Our vision is to create a music festival that showcases all things ʻukulele on Kauaʻi. The event not only entertains but also raises cultural awareness about the ʻukulele. Happening at Kukui Grove Center in the heart of Līhuʻe, Kauaʻi.
